Art Deco 1930's Black Lace Evening Gown with Rare Daggered Puff Sleeves

Exceptionally chic, sultry, and elegant antique 1930's Art Deco black lace evening gown with the best short sleeves I've ever come across. This timeless beauty contains a rounded collar with tiered ruffled lace that stems all the way from front to back. Below the collar sit 8 hidden functional black metal snap in buttons sewn down a marked line. The bias cut hugs every curve resulting in a flattering and feminine silhouette, the whimsical skirt tapers in at the knee and flares out far enough to create a circle skirt hemline. The bodice is constructed from three layers of fabric, one of which contains square checkered boxes placed in between two layers of silk netting.

The Art Deco puff sleeves are the true star here. Boasting 3 pointed dagger tips on each sleeve, with an opening lined in ruffled lace. This dress is another great example of how incredibly time consuming the construction of antique garments used to be. Along with the deep attention and appreciation for detail that you just don't see on majority of present day garments. 

I am technically wearing the gown "backwards," thus, you can wear this gown two different directions.

Seen on XS unpinned, accommodates an S and an M comfortably.

Easy to style with a black, light pink/peach, ivory, even baby blue vintage slip underneath. Or if you are a little less modest like myself, wear some tight black shorts, black bathing suit bottom, stockings with built in shorts, plus some pasties or an elegant bra.

Condition:
Excellent condition. Not a single visible flaw, tear, hole, imperfection. Price reflects rarity, and overall condition.
