An ethereal and rare antique 1930’s/1940’s silk charmeuse and lace slip dress. The silk fabric is so incredibly soft and luminescent. The bias cut allows for feminine and elegant silhouette. The frontside of the skirt hemline is fitted with a lace insert, topped with a baby blue rose and cream rose detail. I get so giddy anytime there are flowers sewn onto the original design of any and all slip dresses and gowns. Cap shoulder sleeves lined in frilly lace that continues down the arm openings. The lace neckline is topped with two roses in baby blue and one rose in cream. Adorable lace patch detail placed on the skirt’s bottom left. I’ve reworked this special beauty so she could be a true one-of-a-kind by adding four roses vertically at the waist, and by attaching a robin egg blue silky satin ribbon on the left side. Can be tied into a bow or worn undone. Would make for stunning wedding attire or worn as an elegant evening gown.

Condition:
Sold in As-Is condition. Indentations throughout and few light scattered marks, all of which are not visible when worn. Dry cleaned and pressed. Presents beautifully.
Note** Silk Charmeuse fabric is one of the most expensive silk fabrics, even more costly than silk chiffon. It is synonymous with luxury. If this dress was without a single marking, it would be over double the cost.
