This one is a jaw dropper folx! One of the most interesting, beautiful, and unique antique 1930’s, bias cut, maxi gown’s I have ever seen - let alone sourced. This is a one-of-one, piece of wearable art, that I've re-worked and re-designed by hand.
This gown is made from paper white silk organdy fabric, topped with candy apple red flocked flowers, offering a pleasant color contrast design. This one-of-one beauty is fit with a large, open collar that was originally lined in faded red patina. I wanted to creatively hide the discoloration, so I sourced vintage, red tiger eye buttons, sewed them on (one by one) along the trim of the collar. The results came out fantastic, hiding any discoloration along the collar's hemline, with an eye catching detail that show's a lot of time and love was put into this piece.
Constructed with an era appropriate classic 1930’s empire waistline, skirt is cut on a bias, which really gives your body that sleek, elongated, yet chic feminine look. Darling ruffled prairie hemline along the bottom of the skirt. The bodice contains 4 vertically placed, sphere shaped candy apple red buttons that are non functional. There is a metal snap in right underneath the first sphere button, allowing you to put on and take off the dress with ease. The dramatic puff sleeves are definitely an eye catcher, and really round out the whimsical mixed with some clown core styling of this gown. The sleeve opening is in great condition, and if you find that it's either too small or too big, just message me and I can have my tailor replace the current hemline with a thin stretchy band that is best suitable to YOUR arm opening.
Fits a variety of sizes. Seen on a size XS unpinned. Suitable for XS, S, M, depending on desired it.

Each treasure is hand selected, thoughtfully curated, a rare and beautiful unique piece of the past. I offer detailed descriptions, measurements, materials, and photographs that accurately display the condition of every offering. My team and I work hard to restore and sometimes re-make garments back to a condition of excellence and longevity. I do my best to disclose any and all clear or visible blemishes. However, due to the true nature of vintage and antique listings, there might be subtle signs of wear, consistent with age. Here at Sacred Garden Vintage, we believe imperfect characteristics carry an inherent charm, and display a non replicable historical imprint.
