An exquisite, vintage 1940’s, inky black slip dress made from ultra luxurious, 100% silk chiffon fabric. On the inside of the dress you can see the original, completely legible designer tag which reads: Black Lingerie by “Blanche.” Which is such an incredibly rare component!
Cut on the bias, the elegant silhouette skims your body gracefully, creating the appearance of a floating angel with the silk chiffon sauntering behind you with every step you take. At the waist side you’ll find two silk chiffon ribbons that you can tie into a bow in back, giving your waist a snatched touch. The bodice features stunning, romantic French lace with floral motifs that continue into the shoulder straps, which frame a unique diamond-shaped cutout. The tip of the diamond is topped with a black silk satin bow and the bottom tip of the diamond is also topped with a black silk satin bow with floating ribbons.
The skirt is finished with a subtle, 10inch slit design at the bottom center for a timeless vixen look, while the rest of hemline contains matching black floral lace trim for a sultry finishing touch.

Beautifully preserved in excellent antique condition for age. No stand out imperfections, this timeless gown has plenty of life left to be worn, admired, and cherished for years to come.
