Breathtaking Art Deco Antique 1930’s Ivory Silk Charmeuse Wedding Gown with Alencon Lace and Cathedral Train

Breathtaking, Art Deco, antique 1930’s Ivory 100% silk Charmeuse wedding gown with a bias cut hemline and cathedral train. Known as a highly sought after collector's piece due to the impossible task of procuring modern day garments crafted from the same pure silk charmeuse used in the 1920's and 1930's.

This stunner radiates the glamour, elegance, and decadence of Old Hollywood's bygone era. The inverted U shaped waistline gathers under the bust, creating a defined feminine silhouette. Fit with a light puff shoulder made from French Alencon lace, long sleeves that taper toward the wrists, finished with pointed cuffs. The skirt’s hip hugging bias cut silhouette drapes beautifully towards the ground, extending into a breathtaking 94” cathedral silk train, forming a pooled sweep behind the wearer. The dress fastens with 15 fabric covered dome shaped buttons down the center back and also includes a side snap placket on the left side for ease of 

Originally, I sourced this gown with shattered lace on the shoulders, collar, upper chest and upper back area lace. So I teamed up with a tailor who carefully removed the tattered old lace, skillfully filled the open areas with mesh fabric, adding structure and a subtle puff shoulder sleeve, topped vintage Parisian Alencon lace, hand sourced by moi. The silk satin fabric is lustrous, easy to maneuver, highly breathable and has a lot of life left due to the immaculate preservation of this garment.
