Absolutely stunning two piece antique 1930's gown and bolero set. Would make for such precious ensemble to wear for anything wedding related - in my humble opinion - but of course this set will turn heads any where you go.
Crafted from silk taffeta in a soft creamy hue with a beautiful colorful spring floral pattern. Truly looks like a painting in the form of an ensemble. The dress carries a classic 30’s era empire waist design and bias cut skirt hemline. Together, those cuts give the wearer a flattering, sleek, and elongating silhouette that hugs your body in all the right places. The little purple frills which the front side of the neckline continue onto the backside - which adds such a precious detailed touch.
The backside carries a chic, compelling design with sultry thin shoulder straps, down the spine sits a row of gorgeous functional fabric covered buttons mixed and true pearl buttons. My favorite elements of this gown. I don’t know why I’m such a sucker for buttons made in the 1930’s/50’s and the way they were utilized to upgrade garment design. Just above the buttons lay two bows that have metal snap ins attached to help them stay in place.
The matching silk taffeta fabric bolero carries a pair of some of the best puff shoulder sleeves I have ever seen that scream romance. The circular structure of the shoulders, the two fabric covered buttons placed on top of the cuff - to die for. The bolero and gown can be worn and styled seperately, essentially giving you the ability to create 4 looks with one ensemble.
This set is work by an XS pinned and can fit a variety of sizes. Please refer to measurements to ensure proper fit.

Excellent antique condition. No visible imperfections and the fabric is still extremely strong. Lot’s of life left in this beauty. Im truly astonished regarding how well this set has been preserved. Price reflects rarity and condition.
