Luminous Antique 1930’s Silk Charmeuse Gown in Ballet Slipper Pink with Alencon Lace Appliqué Details Crafted in House and Hand Sewn | One-of-One | XS - XL

Stunningly alluring, antique 1930’s silk charmeuse slip gown in ballet slipper pink. The bias cut hemline gives this gown a graceful, body draping, feminine refined touch. The 100% silk charmeuse fabric carries a pearly, luminescent natural sheen with an impossibly fluid silhouette. 

Fit with unique triangle cut out shoulder straps, this one-of-one stunner has a v shaped neckline in front that is lined by delicate floral ecru lace. Ruching detail on each shoulder strap, with more ruching along the inverter V bodice hemline. Classic 1930’s empire waist, with lace lined arm holes and a v-shaped neckline in back.

I hand dyed Alencon lace using tea bag’s at home in order to color match the appliqué's with the ecru lace on the bodice. I spent hours, carefully cutting the lace into appliqués and hand sewing each, one by one, in a thoughtfully carried out design. Many were placed to cover imperfections, allowing the gown to be restored into an excellent piece of fashion history. This was a labor of love and I’m so happy with the end result.

Condition:

Gently worn in excellent antique condition - esp for age. Has a unique color-tone of pink with blends of lighter tones: I like to call this the cloud effect. Only visible when you look real close yet I think this adds beauty to the piece. Silk is extra soft, no imperfections that take away from the design. Price reflects rarity, condition, and my custom art-work.
