Vintage 1940’s Taffeta and Lace Day Dress Set with a 1960’s Vicky Vaughn Crop Top/Jacket

Paired together a darling, vintage, 1940’s taffeta lemon yellow day dress, with a 1960’s blue lace button down crop top, made by non other than iconic retro designer Vicky Vaughn. It’s worn as a jacket here and is completely removable. This dress set is a true One-of-One, conceptualized and created by myself. The satin bows are hand-crafted crafted and interchangeable, with metal snap ins attached at the center of each bow. The vintage 1960’s cropped sky blue lace button down top was sourced separately.

This sleeveless beauty contains a bodice made of fine lace, lined with cotton mesh fabric, ruching detail at the center of the chest, with a corset style pointed hemline. A whimsical gossamer lace peplum skirt sits right at waistline. The skirt portion of the dress is constructed from rayon taffeta fabric in a deep sun yellow hue. Newly replace baby blue zipper on the left side under arm. At the center waistline I added removable satin bows in ice blue and cobalt that can be worn interchangeably with the black lace bows. 

The 1960’s Vicky Vaughn sky blue lace, button down crop top is fit with 6 functional buttons down the front, designed with a Victorian era inspired high neckline and structured puff shoulders sleeves to boot. Can be worn separately from the dress!

**There are two panels with extra fabric on the inside of the dress that run from the waist all the way up to the chest area that carry an extra inch of fabric on each side of the panel. So, these panels can be let go of which can add 1-2" around the waist.

Condition:

Great vintage condition. This dress came to me as a wounded bird and I was able to fix all imperfections by hand in an undetectable manner.

The cropped 1960's blouse is in like-new condition.
