Exquisite, absolutely stunning, antique 1920’s Art Deco drop waist dress made from the dreamiest chiffon in a peachy pink silk fabric. This stunner features a scoop neck, front and back, a drop waist design topped with a unique bow detail. This bow is crafted from more silk chiffon fabric, with two separate pieces of chiffon fabric attached to the bow, which hang down, are 4.5” wide (when gently pulled apart), topped with 9 inches of authentic silver micro-beading which create looped tassels. This bow and tassels are unique designs that I haven’t come across, yet I adore them as they bring elegant movement and composition, catching light with every step. A glass crystal letter “P” is seen attached atop the bow. Easy to swap out this P with another brooch of your liking.
This dress was professionally constructed by hand and I can only imagine the hours of everyday work that it must have taken to complete this gown.
The bottom portion of the skirt is adorned with circular designs crafted from entirely hand sewn clear bugle beads. More silver bugle beads are sewn vertically around the circles, creating an overall design - which in my opinion - mimics rays of sunshine. Glistening, silver glass rhinestones are meticulously placed between the rays, inside the circles, between the rays above the bow on the upper portion of the dress. The lower portion skirt on the backside of the dress, is fit with the same bead designs found on the front of the dress.
The dress has no hooks, it just slips on and slips off (quite easily). The silk is delicate, yet sturdy. This antique heirloom has a lot of life left in her and can be worn for a plethora of occasions, including wedding related events. Fashion historians, collectors of antique 1920's dresses, and those of you who have been looking to treat yourselves with something heavenly, you need this romantic and irresistibly feminine work of wearable art.

Condition:
Excellent antique condition. The chiffon is soft, all of the beads are in tact, and it appears as though it was worn once and stored for over 100+ years. My tailor crafted slightly larger arm pit openings, as the original arm openings were incredibly small. Such a rarity for a piece like this. Price reflects condition and rarity.
