This extraordinary, rare, late 1920’s / early 1930’s era beautiful piece of wearable art is made from 100% silk chiffon in a sultry beige hue. The timeless, ethereal, Art Deco artistry is reflected through the unique motifs of luminous, silver rhinestone spider webs or star bursts (that’s for you to decide). Additionally, more Art Deco craftsmanship is seen in the close up shot of the upper backside, where use of negative space in a shape of a Peter Pan collar, is topped with rhinestones sewn along the edges.
Glamorous details are a signature component of the late 1920’s, early 1930’s evening wear, and this piece is no exception. The scoop neckline in front is adorned with an inner row of glistening, silver rhinestones, surrounded by two outer rows of meticulously placed hand sewn, clear glass beads.
The fitted waist line is topped with the same glass beading and rhinestone formation found along the neckline. As with most dresses from this era, underneath the left side armpit you’ll find a vertical row of functional metal snap in buttons. This dress is lined with layer of the same chiffon fabric, with centimeter wide shoulder straps that peak through the outer layer of silk chiffon ever so lightly.
The skirt is cut in a circular silhouette, allowing the lightweight silk chiffon to flow effortlessly, making you look like a goddess while in motion or whilst standstill.

Excellent antique condition, esp for age. No visible imperfections, the fabric is sturdy and soft, and there doesn't seem to be a single missing rhinestone. The rhinestones still carry their shine, despite being over 100 years of age. This is truly unlike any other 1920's dress I have ever seen.
Wonderfully preserved for nearly a century, this rare Art Deco gown still has plenty of life left for dancing, special occasions, or a cherished vintage collection.
