An extraordinary, glamorous, and unique antique late 1920's/early 1930’s work of wearable art. This ethereal, beige 100% silk chiffon dress captures the elegance and timeless artistry of the roaring 1920's. The luminous rhinestone motifs sparkle in the sunlight and can be seen as spider webs or radiant sunbursts—the interpretation is yours.
The frontside neckline is lined with two rows of meticulously placed clear glass beads that frame a row glistening rhinestones. The waistline is topped with matching glass beading and rhinestones. Underneath the left armpit there is a row of five functional metal snap in buttons. Fully lined with a slip made from the same silk chiffon fabric, contains centimeter wide straps, a square neckline lined with lace from front to back, and is attached to the outer layer.
The upper backside displays a masterful and unusual yet elegant negative-space cut out design in the shape of a Peter Pan collar. Every edge of the cutout is finished with more matching glass beadwork and rhinestones.
The skirt is cut in a circular silhouette, allowing the lightweight silk chiffon to flow effortlessly with every step, making this dress as heavenly and enchanting while in motion as it is while you're standstill.
Worn on size XS unpinned. Can fit up to an XS/S.

Condition: Excellent antique condition, esp for age. No visible imperfections, the fabric is sturdy and soft, and there doesn't seem to be a single missing rhinestone. The rhinestones still carry their shine, despite being over 100 years of age. This is truly unlike any other 1920's dress I have ever seen.
Wonderfully preserved for nearly a century, this rare Art Deco gown still has plenty of life left for dancing, special occasions, or a cherished vintage collection.
