Rare Antique 1930's Two Piece Dress Set with Giant Edwardian Mother of Pearl Buttons

My favorite re-worked antique dress set yet, a whimsical 1930’s silk taffeta onyx gown with a crazy unique design. I’ve never seen an antique 1930’s dress set with a bolero constructed from dots connected together by thread. So creative and unique. Must have been tedious to create - but that only adds to the value behind this set. Skirt is lined in silk black taffeta fabric, iwith silk chiffon in the middle, topped with a secondary layer of silk taffeta that has countless, beautiful black dots cascading down.

This gown features a classic empire waistline, 14 black metal clasp ins on the left side, all in tact and very easy to use. I spent many hours restoring the dress to near perfection, allowing the final product to be in great oantique condition. 

Separately, I sourced a bag of 6 antique 1900’s Edwardian mother of Pearl buttons and attached them to the square neckline. Which I think adds the perfect touch of chic uniqueness I enjoy designing into my re-made, one-of-one pieces.

This piece is meant to be admired in person (until I re-shoot it). These antique, 1900’s era Edwardian mother-of-pearl buttons will have people stopping you in your tracks, complimenting you about these beauties - they’re that special and beautiful in person..

Condition:
Excellent antique condition:  Couple of TINY pin holes near the chest area. The only reason they’re visible to me is because I study each inch. Those the only imperfections I found. Preserved condition reflected in price.
