Whimsical and chic, sultry sheer antique late 1920’s / early 1930’s, onyx georgette silk dress with darling frilly detailing along the skirt hemline and sleeves. Such a tough piece to part with as this flattering beauty is the perfect black dress that every wardrobe needs as it can be styled in an endless amount of different ways. An elegant piece that is wearable all year round. The silk is light and airy, great for summer, and alternatively, looks marvelous under a long coat with stockings worn as layering piece during the cooler months. Fit with four metal snap ins on the left side. The fabric looks delicate however, it is very sturdy and has a lot of life left. The preservation of some of these antique 1920’s/30’s garments is truly mind blowing and this dress falls right into that category.

Pristine. The black hue is rich, and I couldn’t find a single hole of visible imperfection. Silk pieces that have been preserved like this are such a marvel. Price reflects rarity and condition.
