This glamorous, Old Hollywood film noir antique 1930's black silk velvet gown is a show stopper. The neckline, bodice, the billowing balloon half sleeves, and daring backside, all fit with their own set of detailing, will leave rushing to purchase take her home this piece of history. The ruffled velvet neckline is incredible with its petal shaped ruffle hemline, 4 rows of rouching, and it’s lined with illuminating (and expensiiiive) lame fabric. Talk about meticulous attention to detail. The bodice carries four Art Deco, rhinestone encrusted diamond shaped dress clips on the sides of the bodice, connecting the velvet fabric to the silk mesh shoulder. The mesh runs down into the black creating a deep V shape with cut silk velvet cut outs.
The romantic balloon sleeves are topped with multiple rows of ruching and carry a 4” tapered cuff opening that gives the sleeves an extra touch of drama. Cut on bias, the silhouette exudes elegance by hugging your natural form and elongating your figure. Topped with an original Art Deco Diamanté belt buckle set on a silk velvet belt band. The belt is made for a 30” waist, but can easily be shortened by me. All you have to do is contact me and I can tailor it you your waist size to have you looking snatched. The left side carries 5 black metal snap buttons and a hook and clasp, allowing you to easily put the dress on and take it off.
As you can see from the photos, the dress can be worn two ways. Front to back and back to front, allowing you to procure two gowns from one. The amount of time spent on creating this stunning gown from start to finish was likely astronomical.
