A rare, Rococo-Inspired, and utterly stunning, vintage 1940's two piece dress and bolero set is perfect for the doll like angel that likes to turn heads. Constructed from a bright flamingo pink luxurious, silk Moire taffeta fabric with a reflective sheen. The dress contains wide shoulder straps, an intricately gathered and ruched bodice, with a sweetheart neckline topped with ruffle detailing that spans to the backside of the dress. The soft, feminine waistline contains waist ties, that really snatch you in and accentuate your natural curves when tied in back. Deep Burgundy silk velvet bows placed down middle of the dress offer a perfect touch of detail and lovely shade contrast. The the bias cut skirt creates an effortlessly elegant silhouette. Fitted with a metal zipper on the left side of the bodice.
Continuing with a French Rococo inspired design, the cropped bolero is constructed with romantically voluminous puff shoulder sleeves, and open front with pleated trim tracing the hem along the neckline all the way through the backside. Crafted with the same lustrous silk Moire taffeta fabric, the sleeve's arm cuffs are lined in matching pleated trim, each finished off with a Burgundy silk bow detail. A lovely layering piece that can be worn on it's own.
Dress is worn on a size XS (unpinned) but fit's well because of the waist ties. Fit's a variety of sizes, please refer to measurements to ensure proper fit.

Condition:
Excellent overall condition, esp for age. There are no obvious blemishes or signs of wear, this ensemble has been preserved remarkably well. The bows are not uniform, but I personally think they still look wonderfully whimsical and offer the ensemble a characteristic touch. Price reflects condition and rarity.
