Exquisite, vintage 1970’s, one of a kind silk chiffon maxi dress in a very rare color way and pattern. A true dream dress, 1930’s inspired. The layer of silk chiffon contains a multitude of spring/summer flora and fruit, including one of my favorite flowers, lily of the valley. The dress is fit with a 1930’s inspired empire waist, a deep scoop neckline with ruffle trim, light puff shoulder sleeve caps, sheer sleeves with ruffle lined wrists that contain a black metal snap in closure. Onyx silk satin bow along the empire waist, zipper in back. Pleated prairie style skirt hemline. Lined with very soft, light weight cotton fabric in a muted black tone. I’ve reworked a couple elements of the dress to make it more functional, and I’ve restored it to near perfection (I’m hesitant to say it’s perfect as it’s still a vintage garment after-all).
